Subtle on purpose.

I have been in the customization space since 2021, but the reality is I wanted to be in the gift business long before that. I built my first gift websites back in 2015. There is something exciting about giving someone a gift, especially a unique one, the kind that gets a "how did you think of that?"

The idea for Lizabel came in 2021, while I was still getting used to being a father. Like every new parent, I was hunting for the things you actually need, and bibs were near the top of the list. When I looked at the personalized ones, I kept hitting the same three problems. They were expensive, they took forever, and they were loud. Between the bright colors and the big bold text, if you looked at a photo of a baby wearing one, your eye went straight to the name instead of the child.

So I started testing. I found a bib I loved, one made well and easy to clean, then spent real time working out how to add a design that whispered instead of shouted. Something that looked quietly exquisite and let the baby stay the center of the picture. If you wanted something personal for a child that did not steal the moment, this was it. Once I had it right, I found a consistent way to engrave each one so the quality held up every single time.

I will be upfront: this is not for everyone. If you love loud, bold, in your face designs, this is not your thing, and that is completely okay. Lizabel is subtle on purpose.

The name came in 2022, after my second daughter was born. Lizabel is a blend of my daughters' names, Elizabeth and Bella. I paired the bib with a matching spoon (with an optional engraving) because that is where most babies start, mine included. It is what I would have wanted.

We have been making these for a few years now, and people tend to land in one of two camps. They either love it, or it is simply not for them. The part that still surprises me is that of the people who love it, more than 30 percent come back for the next one, the next baby, the next little person in their life. That is more proof that people love it than anything I could possibly say myself. If you are part of that 30 percent, thank you. It means a lot, and we have a little something in the works to make coming back even more worth your while.

Along the way, others have tried to copy our personalization method, and we take it as a compliment. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and it tells us we got something right. We just keep our heads down and focus on doing it better than anyone else.

Our bib is not a revolutionary item. It was designed, personalized, and built with intention.
